Das ist eine europäische Konferenzreihe, die in diesem Jahr ausnahmsweise in Deutschland stattfindet, also sicher eine außergewöhnliche Gelegenheit.

Vom 12. bis 15. September 2011 findet an der Universität Münster die GI-Fachtagung "Informatik und Schule" statt. Das Motto »Informatik für Bildung und Beruf« der INFOS 2011 fokussiert auf den Aufbau informatischer Kompetenzen in den allgemein bildenden UND den berufsorientierten Schulen, mit der Intention Schülerinnen und Schüler angemessen auf ihre Zukunft in einer mit Informatiksystemen gestalteteten Welt vorzubereiten.

Sie können die Tagung in verschiedensten Formen bereichern: Vorträge, Praxisberichte, Workshops, Poster, Wettbewerbe uvm.

The International Conference on Informatics in Schools: Situation, Evolution and Perspectives (ISSEP) is an emerging forum for researchers and practitioners in the area of Informatics Education, both in primary and secondary schools. The ISSEP series started in 2005 in Klagenfurt. Following meetings were held in Vilnius (Lithuania, 2006), Torun (Poland, 2008) and Zürich (Switzerland, 2010). The 5th ISSEP conference will be hosted by Comenius University in Bratislava.

• visit the web page www.issep2011.org, read the Call for papers and follow the content of the page regularly,
• think about your submission. This conference should be a successful and productive event to further develop the area of the Informatics-as-a-subject in both primary and secondary education. You can contribute to that goal by submitting high-quality paper and coming to take part in the conference,
• pre-register yourself: there is a simple procedure at the web page of the conference, which will put your e-mail address into a list of people who want to be regularly updated about the conference and its forthcoming events, deadlines etc.,
• book the dates of the conference and start looking forward to come to the beautiful town on the Danube river!
